Things to know:
You go up in rank, the more you post.
Certain ranks can 'directly post' to a forum, and not only its sub-forums. (See below)

You can gain reputation(popularity), and lose it.
This is decided by your peers, as they can give you a negative or positive vote.
The "thanks" button, is a positive vote that is worth more than a normal positive vote.

You have something called "awesomeness points", these are explained in the FAQ, but I will try to explain them in further detail, here.

First off, we must explain the ##Juko levels.
Each ##Juko level has sub-forums; these sub forums are the topics underneath. For example:
##Juko-Level 2's sub-forums are: School/Gossip, Conspiracy Theories, News/Food/Politics.
When you post in these sub-forums, for levels 1 and 2, you will GAIN awesomeness points.
Now as I mentioned above, you will eventually reach certain ranks that will allow you to post directly. What this means is that instead of posting to a sub-forum, you can now post directly to a level, and create your own sub-forum.
It will always cost to start a sub-forum, each level has its own price for sub-forums.

At Bronze Contributor:
Level-1: 50 points
Everybody who posts to your sub-forum will gain 1 point though.

At Silver Contributor:
Level-2: 100 points
Everybody who posts to your sub-forum will gain 3 points though.

At Golden Contributor:
Level-3: 500 points
Everybody who posts to your sub-forum will lose 100 points.

You might still be wondering what the points really are. Keep on reading.
Points are a rating system of sorts, that will allow you to post in level-3 forums.

To gain points: You must post in level-1, or level-2 subforums. Creating topics always gives you more points than replying to a topic, but nonsense topics will be deleted and you will lose points.

The whole point(no pun intended) of points, is to keep Level-3, clear of unwanted posting. You can post to level-3 sub-forums at any point in time, but if your awesomeness level falls below -1500, you will receive a one-day ban.
You may notice that some sub-forums cost less than others, this is so everybody can participate in the random sub-forums, but those who have more points to spend, can have a bit more control over their topics.

For instance, a person with 1000 points, can easily post to the "Scholars" board, and those who have less points can't really bother their thread.

This clears out the "newcomers", and forces everyone to participate in the topic-oriented forums.

One final thought, as I mentioned above, there is a reputation system in place. In certain forums, you can gain more reputation for a positive vote than in others, and you can lose more reputation in others. Level-3 is where you risk reputation and awesomeness every time you post. You will always lose points by posting in level-3, whether it be in a sub-forum, or a direct post. The popularity feedbacks are worth more too. So be careful about who you tick off.

To give feedback on a post, you go to the top right corner of that user's post, and there should be a positive sign, and a negative sign. Click these for obvious results.
